Palliative Care Broadway, Virginia
What is palliative care and what do we do?
Palliative care is an approach to medical care that addresses the person as a whole, not just their disease or injury. A primary role of palliative care is the relief of pain and other emotional and physical symptoms, as well as to provide support for family and caregivers. Our staff aims to improve the quality of life of patients and families facing the problems associated with a life-limiting illness. We provide a caring environment, perform comprehensive interdisciplinary assessments, establish patient-centered achievable goals of care, as well as coordinate care with the primary care provider and other healthcare specialists. Additionally, we provide psychosocial, spiritual and practical support to patients, their families, and caregivers.
Welcome to Shenandoah Pain and Palliative Care Clinic, where our Broadway specialists work as a team to help our patients achieve and maintain active lifestyles.
